str8 was started by Peter Urquhart after almost 20 years of Engineering/designing, Procuring, Constructing and Managing other people’s or company’s  construction projects.

str8 can do as much or as little of your project as you tailor.   Having obtained a Registered Builder’s status for Medium Rise (BSA 1130425), str8 and Peter Urquhart are in a position to manage your entire project, build it for you, or simply compliment your existing project team.  

Need a turnkey EPCM solution ? That is to say do you need Peter Urquhart and his team to work for you or your company to manage and control all aspects of your new project, starting at design, cost estimating & reporting, construction at site right through to handover ?

Just need help is some roles ?   Maybe you just need a design team – str8 can provide that for you.   Maybe you have your design all organised, and you need a principal contractor to bring a workforce as well as manage other specialised subcontractors on a construction site.   str8 can do that for you.

Do you need extra tradespeople for an existing workforce ?   str8 can provide tradespeople for a short or long duration project.    Industrial Construction Projects require a specialised construction team to be assembled, combining a range of different trades for different durations as dictated by a construction schedule.   str8 can assemble such a team, plan accommodation & travel arrangements, or fit into arrangements already in place.

Schedule of rates, Fixed price or Cost Plus contracts.   str8 Can be contracted in different ways.   The quick start schedule of rates is well suited to consulting & managing (Project manager, Engineering Design Manager, etc.) as well as tradespeople.   A sophisticated “Cost Plus” contract which is fair & equitable to both sides allows for a reasonably quick start into a project, depending n the size and complexity of the project.
